How Road For Chick came to life
Road For Chick began as a simple idea in our Sydney-based game studio in 2022. Our lead designer was inspired by classic vertical jumpers like Doodle Jump but wanted to create something with more personality and unique gameplay mechanics.
After months of prototyping, our team settled on the charming chicken character that players have come to love. We developed the Royal, Reels, and NeoSpin mechanics to set our game apart from others in the genre, focusing on creating a game that was easy to learn but difficult to master.
Development took place over 18 months, with extensive testing from Australian gamers who provided valuable feedback. We refined the controls, balanced the difficulty curve, and added numerous quality-of-life features before our successful launch.
